a. Fertile Cresent- An arc of land that provides some of the best farming in Southwest Asia , between the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean sea.
b. Silt- A thik bed of mud.
c. Irrigation- A ditch that helps carry river water.
d. City-state- When a city and the land around it is controlled .
e. Dynasty-  Rulers that come one after another that are in the same family.
f. Cultural Diffusion- When a idea is spread from one culture ta another.
g. Polytheism- To belive in many gods.
h. Empire- When more than one state is controlled by one ruler.
i. Hammurabi- The code of laws he put together

Challenge1- They had no tools for farming so their solution was to invent the plow.
Challenge2- They had no way of traveling so their solution was to invent the wheel and sail.
Challenge3- They had no form of communication so their solution was to invent writing.

3)
An advantage that they got by living in a city is that they did not to move around any more they stayed in one place. Modern cities offer this too we do not need to run around any more to get food.
